NAME: Delacroix Seveterre
AGE: 9
GENDER: Male
STRENGTHS:He is not easily scared or freaked out. He has seen more than typical sheltered, American children and adapted because of it. He is also rather independent and a critical thinker. He can cook simple meals, make campfires, and build little stick shelters. The latter two skills he learned at a weekend survival camp for kids, and he still practices the techniques in his backyard. He has a lot of determination and does whatever he sets his mind too. Delacroix is also a rather passionate child. He does not open up a lot when not around his brother, but he has a lot of good ideas and he sticks by his beliefs and challenges those who oppose him. He fights hard and well, even in a fist fight. He is rather tough for being a nine year old, and he has knocked several kids his size and bigger flat on their backs.
WEAKNESSES: Delacroix was traumatized in his past, but he will not talk about it. People speculate it was the mother: a careless woman who abused drugs, ignored her babies, and eventually walked out on them. But though Delacroix was certainly heartbroken by the abandonment, that is not the reason for his clamming up. It happened after Mother left. But as said, he will not say. It is why he only trusts his brother and his brother alone. Even his father is considered shunned. Delcrois tolerates the man but hardly speaks to him or shows him affection. Instead, Delacroix throws all his attention needs at Gustave. It takes its toll on both of them. He tends to bottle things up inside till he explodes. It does not help that he has a smaller heart than normal. Doctors cannot really explain why it happened or what it will all entail, but Delacroix often gets dizzy, feels weak, has migraines, and feels pain every now and again, especially if he exerts himself too much, so his emotional outbursts can have dangerous effects.
STORY:
He's grumpy and kind of a sour puss, but when he is with Gustave, he brightens up a lot, and then his passion and playfulness really kick in. He can be quite the handful.
He wants to be a conductor on a train when he grows up. He loves trains a lot. He often carries model trains in his pockets or sleeps with one under his pillow.
